Where do possums live?
Ringtail Possums can be found all along the edge of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia (near Perth).
Brushtail Possums live all over Australia, Tasmania and Kangaroo Island.
Possums live in rainforests, bush areas and gardens that have lots of trees and shrubs. They also like places that have lots of water near by.
In the wild, possums like to sleep in hollow trees.

Ringtail possums build round nests called dreys. They build their drey up high in the tree.
Possums use sticks to make the nest and put lots of leaves, grass and soft bark inside to make it comfortable.
Your drey is so grey. Are you having a nice day?
Possums like living in trees but if there are no trees around, possums will live in your house roof, garage, shed or chimney.
